Chicago Trip

This Hotel was very convienient and well located for the Great Lakes Graduation for my Daughter in October, Front Desk was very accomodating with needs, directions to from Graduation and also recommended a Great place for Delivery of Chicago Famous Deep Dish Pizza!!!! The room was fairly clean needed a good vacuum is all under beds I dropped a piece of jewelry and had to retrieve from under bed was a might dusty, needed some attention all in all no major complaints, Even wanted to stay an extra night but couldn’t change flights, If ever in the area again I would book a Room.

IHOP in Gurnee on Northridge had excellent staff and reasonable prices. Also the Gurnee Mills mall was Great!!! Giordanos Restaurant in Gurnee, was Very Hospitable and Family oriented even though we were not travelling with youngsters, Everyone we came in contact with were very Nice!!!!!

Fantastic place to stay for families of graduating Navy recruits.

This motel was a comfortable and convenient place to stay for us to attend our son’s Navy recruit graduation ceremony. It is not the fanciest place but friendly and very accomodating. Navy families stay at this motel on a regular basis. The motel staff knows everything about the area and offers shuttle service to the base.

Nice place

Good place to stay.Breakfast was not the greatest but acceptable.I asked for a extra pillow when we checked in and was told I should have requested one when I reserved room. Otherwise it was a good place to stay.

Average hotel stay

This hotel is about as expected. The hotels.com price was an encouragement to stay at the hotel. No notable bad (or exceptionally good) features. For the price and location, I would stay at this Super 8 again if I was in the area.

Comfortable and clean hotel

The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean and fresh upon arriving. I would definitely recommend this hotel for any NAVY family that was coming to see their family member graduate from basic training. It was close to the base and easy to get too. Restaurants very close and easy to get too.

Good Overnight Stay for the Money

Its a great way to stay only for one night, but not for a week or more. We went to the naval base for a graduation and was close by to get to and easy, plus alot of restaurants close by as well.

this hotel is a good way to spend the night for navy graduations and one night stays, not for the week.

It was a OK stay for the $$$. We were next to the stairs and heard everything. Not sure what was going on upstairs. For what we used the room for it was fine. Alot of fast food NO real resturants that we could find.

This hotel was not very clean, the man handling the check-in when I checked in was unfriendly and unknowledgable, The room was kind of dingy and the cleaning was less than average. The cable in the room is good and if you are looking for a place to sleep and then get going, then perhaps you should stay. Otherwise I would recommend paying ten dollars more and finding a better hotel. The area that the hotel is in is not bad, and there are several hotels nearby.

Needed some TLC

The hotel itself is terribly outdated, and needed a good once over. The manager was the one who checked us in, not only did it take her a minute or so to say hello, she didnt come across as the friendly type. The hallways smelled of smoke in non smoking floors. The T V REMOTE was terrible, the only good thing was the air conditioner unit was good.

Accomodating Staff for Unique Request

The hotel didn’t have a fitness room and the nearest Bally’s is a least 15 miles away. The morning desk clerk okayed me to walk around the parking lot so that I could get my workouts in while I stayed at the hotel.

Not worth the money

Smelled like smoke in hallways even when I had non-smoking room. After second night, had bad pain in my neck from the bed and pillows.

This Hotel Needs to Clean their Carpets!!

The staff was friendly and helpful, however was placed on the third floor...no elevator...did extend stay and was allowed to change rooms to 2nd floor. Both rooms had damaged bathroom doors, the carpet in both rooms was filthy.... if we were not there for a special reason and had 3 rooms of people would have found another hotel,,,

The hotel was good for the money

Comfort 8 was good for the money. The breakfest isn’t not big and there’s not a good variety. There’s no pool for children either. Overall this place was clean and kept well. For the price we paid, we were satisfied.

In and Out Only

This hotel is great to just take care of business. We were glad that we only had to sleep and shower.

Adequate but not impressive

The Super 8 seemed pretty standard for this class of hotels. The staff were courteous and attempted to be helpful with questions. The bed comfort and cleanliness were adequate, as was the cleanliness of the tub, shower and bathroom fixtures. The floors were rather dirty and the carpet could have used a steam cleaning, both in the room and throughout the halls (I would not walk in my bare feet on these floors).

Needs improvement

We were on the top floor (3rd) and there were no elevators to use, and when I checked in they wanted to see my ID which I showed them my Drivers Lisence and they asked if they could make a copy and I said as long as I get it back & they said I wouldn’t get the copy back that they keep it on file for their records, which I found really odd. I’ve never had a hotel do this before and this concerns me still. I don’t like having a copy of my lisence out there at a hotel I probably would never go back to. I didn’t argue, because I needed a place to stay, but I would like to know that it was destroyed, but I don’t. Then I called the desk to get an extra towel, and they asked if we could spare someone to come get it, which was unusual also. Usually they send someone up with it. Then when I checked out I asked for a reciept and they said I should have gotten one with whoever I booked the hotel with, and I said I did.

good for the money

We stayed here for the price, and we were pleasantly suprised by the clean rooms and by the fact we did not here other guests. By the time we had breakfast there wasn’t anything left.
