Not for everyone, but we liked it
This hotel is a good example of the sort of older, a bit run-down hotels that are all over Europe. While not a dump, it lacks A/C, has a fuzzy small TV, parking is on the street, they charge for Internet and the restaurant was closed except for breakfast. Large room, tiny shower. The Domus backs onto a fascinating Bohemian alley, where the dance club was open until dawn. We didn’t mind, but many might have not appreciated the techno beat. While the neighborhood was definitely not family orientated (strip club half a block away), it seemed safe. The hotel staff was very nice and the lobby charming, with a genuine lending library. The bottom line - this place would be very over-priced in America. Most of the hotels we stayed in during this trip were largely empty, but the operators solution seems to be to raise rates?

Nice place, convenient to train station
Overall, a nice hotel with decent rooms. The room I had, in the front of the hotel, was rather noisy from all the street traffic, but otherwise a pleasant stay.
