Perfect Romantic Getaway
A hotel of historical significance, the Shlosshotel Kronberg overwhelms with charm and antiquity. The restaurant surprised with a senstively modern approach to the local seasonal cuisine, and staff across the establishment were nothing but polite and accomodating. This is the perfect place to take things slowly and be away from the noise of the world. The grounds are beautiful and will effortlessly entertain an hour or two’s walk. Do make an effort to join Ernest on his tour of the building, he will add the extra magic to your stay.
The restaurants’s lunch menu is not much cheaper than the dinner menu (almost identical). For a more relaxed lunch either eat in the foyer or spoil yourself with the same menu via room service.

Not impressed with single uncofortable bed.
I booked a deluxe room & ended with a smll single bed and charged more mony. They kept me waiting for 3h in the lobby.

Nice but not a leading hotel
The location of the the hotel is great. In the middle of a large park. There is a rose garden, riding stables. We rented bikes. The village is beautiful but not an easy walk. You can make it there with a bike in around 15 minutes. That is part of the problem. If you do not have a car you are isolated at the hotel. If your goal is to get away and go nowhere else, this is the place for you. We thought the dining room was very pricey, had great service but the food was average at best. To much salt. Some of the "compliments from the kitchen" had been cooked long before and were old. It is a nice dining room, but I bet there are much better places in Frankfurt for the same price. There is no spa or work out room. Summary: nice motel, not much to do bring a car, and find somewhere else to eat dinner.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Travel into the village of Kronberg. It is marvelous. Narrow cobble streets and high end shopping. A great place to stroll and see the sights. Sit in the square and have a drink at the outdoor tables.
