The hotel is in a brilliant location for shopping and sightseeing. The leisure facilities are also good. Bedrooms a little on the small side but confortable. Bathrooms tiny and could do with some TLC
Have a trip round the lanes. Lovely atmosphere and especially at night when the fairy lights are on

Brighton Metropole - very average
Poor experience, very small room looking over tatty yard area. No hope of a sea front room even though the price paid was high in my opinion. Many details missing, all the basics you expect from a Hilton Hotel. No ice machines, no snacks in room, worn out bathroom fittings. Of course the bed was a grand statement of style but the actual mattress was way overdue replacement. On the whole a disappointing experience.

Bars and clubs everywhere, go drink and be merry then the average room seems like a haven.

Don’t believe all you read!
I nearly changed my reservation to another hotel after reading reviews of the the Hilton Metropole. However, I’m glad to say that I found many of the gripes to be unfounded and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. My room was well-furnished, cleaned properly each day and there was a terrific choice at breakfast. The hotel was full on the Friday evening/Saturday morning so there was a small queue at breakfast but this was dealt with as quickly as possible. I cannot fault the staff - they were most polite and helpful at all times. I have no hesitation in recommending or staying at this hotel again.
