Blackpool Hilton Review
A one night stay at the Hilton, Blackpool. Checked into Room 618 (6th Floor) with a window view of the seafront. A strong SW wind and drizzle was blowing off the sea but that did not spoil our reason for staying here and to enjoy the "illuminations". The room itself is pretty standard although there was a larger than average flat screen LCD TV at 32" ! Beds were firm and comfortable but the decor and fittings of the room were definitely showing signs of "wear and tear" - suggest a refurb sometime soon ? Breakfast (and staff) were excellent - but very busy at the time with many holidaymakers (as english schools were on half term). Did exactly what it said on the tin ! 8/10.

Not the worst hotel i have stayed
The pillows look really good until you put your head on them they go really flat. My daughter and her family had a bad experience, they had no sleep all night with the cold and the wind coming into the room didnt notice until the morning the window frame was away from the wall. She had to repack and move to another room, in which had the same problem so they had to duck tape it. The manager said they are awaiting for the window company to come back to them. Her young daughter had been sleeeping under the one all night. The manager did give them free breakfast and evening meal. These are family rooms were there are children staying in. I think the Hilton hotels need a lot of upgrading doing to them.

excellent food for breakfast and in the restaurant, very friendly staff, disappointed no flannel in bathroom
Blackpool has plenty to do, visited Morecambe and Fleetwood, good base for visiting
