great for the low price

This hotel was much nicer and more comfortable than we expected, given its very low price. Not a resort, of course, but well worth the price if you need to stay in the area.

ok but not great

i was certainly not the desk clerk’s no. l priority--he did what he had to do to check me in, but was not about to do anything more than the bare minimum. breakfast was o.k.. but if you furnish bagels and bread, shouldn’t you also have a toaster? apparently not at the draper ramada. room was very adequate, and the place was quiet! probably more important than a customer-friendly clerk and a toaster...

Wow

Hotel staff was very unfriendly. Would not meet requests, even after several attempts to get another pillow. Was charged an additional $42 at check-in, stated this was an ’accomodation fee.’

OK motel

This is a good motel if you are getting in late and leaving early and just need a place to sleep. Could be cleaner and the beds are really soft. The breakfast is not that good and the chairs in that room are filthy also it is so hot in there you don’t want to stay to eat.

needs improvement

Bathroom walls are very dirty, it looked like feces on wall next to toilet. All walls need to be cleaned throughly. Maids come in your room when they are not suppose to. They do not knock. Those are my biggest complaints. Other then that the mattress were very comfortable.Please train your maids to knock and not to come in your room unless asked.

Will definitely stay again

For me it was a very convenient location, central to all that I needed to do, and was a great value!

Why do you have to ask for good service?

Very skimpy on the towel service, I had to ask for more than one towel. Very skimpy on the complimentary coffee and accompanying condiments. Never replaced after first day, I had to continually ask, each day. Clerk was polite and very friendly.

Wow - Great Price - Great value for money

I could not believe the price! It felt it was half the price it should have been. I talked to the front desk staff and they say that they are missing a swimming pool so thus the major discount. As I did not need a pool I am happy to save the $50 a night. I will return.

Invasion of the Housekeepers! Lock your deadbolts, Folks!

Around 8 am on the morning following my check in, a room service attendant tried to enter my room without knocking, using her maintenance key. Luckily I had the latch at the top of the door activated so the door didn’t open all the way and she was not able to gain full access. She said sorry and continued down the hallway to try the same process on the rest of the rooms, attempting entry, and if occupied, just apologizing. That is the worst room service practice I have ever witnessed. Why would someone do that? Why wouldn’t they get a list of occupied rooms from the front desk and go from there? So, I let it go and didn’t get too mad about it. A little while later I had to run to my vehicle for some forgotten shaving cream and upon returning to my room I didn’t bother relatching the privacy lock at the top of the door because I didn’t think anyone would try to bust into my room a second time. Sure enough, as I stood half naked and shaving my face in front of the vanity, a different housekeeping lady opened the door wide for all to see and proceeded to enter with her cart of supplies and stuff. She just about ran right into me before she realized the room was occupied. Although she apologized and left the room immediately, I was very embarrassed. There is absolutely no excuse for neglecting to communicate with the front desk, let alone knock on the room door to find out if the room is occupied! Also, I would have posted a ’Do Not Disturb’ sign, but none was furnished within the room. Never before at any other hotel have I had this problem. Why? Because other hotels are smart and issue lists of occupied rooms so that housekeeping doesn’t just bust in on you while you are naked! I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone else after my experience there.

needs improvement

The Hotel rooms from my experience are not throughly cleaned. The Walls are very dirty. especialy in the bathrooms near the toilets, very very, dirty. The management needs to hire housecleaners that are going to do there job the right way. Please clean you walls in your hotels rooms!!! Also the housecleaners employees donot knock before they enter your room. other then that the mattress was very comfortable.I think the management needs a new housecleaning staff.

Sound proofing

Could use more sound proofing between rooms.

Nearest to IKEA Store

It was nice that all rooms came with a fridge to hold cooler items for road travelers. The breakfast was lame, for those wanting some protien there were only hard boiled eggs, no yogurt. Only one variety of muffin and sweet roll. The location was very close to the IKEA store in Draper, which was our destination.

Good hotel

Friendly, helpful service, nice room with many amenities including a good breakfast.

Clean and comfortable

Clean, comfortable, staffed by friendly people. Much nicer than we were expecting for the price. Dog friendly! Would definitely stay here again (and would love to know where they bought their comforters).

Traveller's tip on dining

Lots of restaurants in the area... fast food and sit down. No breakfast restaurants, though. Had to drive about 5 miles to the IHOP.

For the Money, Okay

The room was very nice and the management accommodated our need to have two rooms directly across from one another. The beds were clean and the hotel staff was very accommodating. I was not impressed with the continental breakfast, which included hard boiled eggs, small bagels, small danish, bread, cereal, milk, coffee, and juice. They also advertised belgiun waffles. I stayed at the hotel for three days and grew tired of hard boiled eggs everyday. There was no variety and a lot of the time, there wouldn’t be enough food, as someone came in before us and cleaned it out. For the money I paid though, I was happy with the room and the other accommodations. I would recommend the hotel for a brief stay as it is very convenient; next to the freeway and located in between Salt Lake and Utah Valleys, so traveling was easier. Improvements: Just give a wider variety of food in the breakfast room; maybe scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon.

Great Room for the money

Hotel located just off the freeway, very convenient. Cozy rooms, nice to have fridge and microwave right in the room.

Great hotel for the value

We stayed here one night so we could do some shopping at IKEA (very convenient!). The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was especially nice, with very strong water pressure. Would highly recommend for a short stay in SLC!
