did not want to wake up at 6:00 am
The truth is, I went Calgary to visit an old friend who was also there from India. I had been on the road for a minimum of 4 hours every day for the previous 3 days and arrived in Calgary quite exhausted and sick. Due to the fact that I had not seen my friend in 5 years, we talked until 2 am and I did not return to the hotel to sleep until about 3 am. Feeling very sick, I closed the curtains and planned to sleep until 10 am or so but was unfortunately woken up at 6 am with a mistaken wake up call. Although I tried to go back to sleep, I am a morning person and once awake, I am unable to return to sleep. When I asked the front desk at check out about the call, they simply said, "Oh, it must have been a misdial to room number 522". I was staying in room 222. No apology, nothing offered to me despite my terrible condition. I would not stay there again, nor recommend it to anyone else. It is a nice hotel, but the staff seems ambivalent to issues outside of daily smooth running affairs.
