Would go back again
The location was only a couple of miles to State Fairgrounds and William Brice Stadium for the football game - USC Gamecocks. The Motel was older and a bit outdated. Ice machines didnt work. I stayed in two different rooms for one night each and both were clean and bug free. Everything in the room was in working order with plenty of hot water. Due to the location and price, I would stay there again in the future.

We are always glad we stayed at the Riverside
This is not one of those luxury locations some people want but it is our favorite location in which to visit the city. We have stayed here off and on for years. The location is excellent, walking distance to overlooking the Congaree River, walking distance to a quiet passive public park, and walking distance (for the hardy) to downtown. Its a 50s style motel experience, with ongoing updating, but with all the charm of the old era of the automobile. The staff are always congenial and helpful and the brunch, while the usual continental cuisine, is always neatly presented in a quiet space. Dont go if you need "spit and polish" but do go for the ambience of another era and, best of all, an EXCELLENT VALUE for the price.

Sucks!!!
Hotel is too old. Should be completely renovated or closed down for good.
