Chintzy Hotel - Will Come Back

From the second you walk in, the Euro-inspired decor hits you. A little chintzy, but overall very nice. Make sure to get a renovated room, didn’t see the older rooms but based on other reviews, I signed up for their hotel loyalty program and received a free upgrade. As a program member, you also receive complimentary early check-in/late check-out. Very nice if you have a late flight out of Incheon. It’s a business hotel, so lots of foreigners. Hotel staff is cordial and many can speak English. Located 5 minutes from the nearest subway station, it’s conveniently situated. Takes 20 minutes to cross the river into Gangbuk. Be sure to check out the 3 Hofs/fried chicken joints located on the way to the Hakdong subway station, they’re open till 5am daily!

I’d stay here again even though the location isn’t the greatest.

The Imperial Palace was a really nice hotel and the service was great. It was in the high class neighborhood but wasn’t in the greatest area, meaning downtown/central Seoul where it’s much easier and quicker to get to tourist places. The Imperial Palace had smoking rooms but the hotel had decent ventilation where we couldn’t smell the smoke in our room (unlike all the other hotels we stayed in while we were in Korea). This is why I would stay here again even though it isn’t in the best location.

Extremely comfortable

Beautiful hotel with extremely comfortable guestrooms. The rooms were well thought out, with plenty of drawer and hanging spaces and a beautiful bathroom. The staff were all very nice and helpful, and most spoke English. We found the prices in the hotel quite steep, e.g. the restaurant prices, as well as the breakfast, and location-wise if was too far to walk anywhere, but the bus stop is just around the corner, We loved the sumptous feel of the place though, and will definitely go back on our next trip.

Turning right when leaving the hotel, crossing the big crossroads and on the other side turning right you will find a convenience store that sells sandwiches, milk for the coffee (there is no creamer for your coffee in the room) and anything else you may need if you don’t want to have meals in the hotel. Jenny, who isthere most days, speaks English.
