Will definately go back
The hotel is clean and the service is good. The price is reasonable. It’s a close drive to the beaches and boardwalks. There are plenty of good restaurants and shops closeby also.
Island Beach State Park is about a 20 minute drive. The cost for admittance is only $6 per car. It’s a beautiful beach, no boardwalks, with changing and shower facilities at the beach.

cleaniness is a issue
have been here before few years ago. This time I was so disappointed with the room. he first room that we got had a bad smell and the rugs were so filthy. I went to the front desk and told them that I was not happy with that room. She was very nice and gave us another room. That room didn’t smell but the rugs needed vacumn. bathroom was cleaned. In thses room floors are so dirty and you can tell that the rugs are never vacumn. Where is the cleaning supervisor to random check these rooms? I will never stay at this Howard Johnson in Toms River NJ again.
