I’d almost consider going back every weekend!
My hotel stay at the Red Lion in Redding, CA was great. The hotel staff was friendly and eager to accomidate. Our room was neat and clean. I loved the atmosphere there the decor of place in itself are means to a great escape. Id definitly go back.

Once we got past checkout
The staff when we checked in were rude. It was about 5 minutes before we were acknowledged with nobody else to check in but us. One of the girls had made a comment about having to be off in 5 minutes no matter what because she had put in too many hours. The other girl just rolled her eyes. After a couple more minutes the eye roll girl (her badge said she was from Corining)told us to come up.She made us feel like we were putting her out just by checking in. I said we had friends coming in and could she try to get them in a room close to us or at least on the same floor. She said it was doubtful because they had a bunch of fire crews staying at the hotel. She sighed and said she would try. But she never asked what their names where. However when they checked in the person at the desk was all kinds of informative to them. She let them know there was a Happy Hour at the bar and a band playing that night. We live in the area, but had a function going on that night, so we decided to get a room in town. There were plenty of rooms cheaper than the Red Lion. Once we got past check in, we were very pleased with our stay. The gal that was tending bar during Happy Hour was great!

Not that impressed.
The coffee maker was not cleaned out from the last visitor. Is walking distance to restaurants and located in one of the centers for the town.
