Very basic accomodation for the night
The hotel is in dire need of renovation. The communal areas (not reception) have dirty stained carpets, not a great first impression. The rooms are very basic and old, and the bathrooms have been ‘upgraded’ by painting over the tiles and bath rather than rip out and renew. Our room 207 opened onto a walkway above the pool that was very noisy during the night with people returning to their rooms at all hours and traffic noise. The hotel staff were polite and courteous apart from one of the extremely rude male servers on the upper deck area, who caused us to eat breakfast elsewhere. The location is second to none and the bar area was handy to have within the hotel complex. Security is terrible at the rear of the hotel where an intercom system allows you to notify reception of who you are prior to entering the communal areas. On pressing the intercom buzzer the reception staff unlock the door without checking your identity. Pretty pointless locking the door really! Additionally when checking out you get stung for the cost of having a safe in the room whether youve used it or not. This is not an optional charge, you must pay it. Therefore we thought that it should be on the room rate since its not optional. The lady at reception was quite "Off" with me when I suggested this. Finally we had booked to return to this hotel after 2 days in Naples but ended up canceling after seeing how much better the hotel in Naples was. We stayed in Naples for the rest of our trip and loved it.

Cant really complain
We stayed for a long weekend, it was a great location right on teh beach and just a few blocks away from great food and shopping. We rented bikes to get anywhere we couldnt my foot. The Deck restuarant attached to the hotel had WONDERFUL food! Overall it was a good hotel and great for struggling students, i would stay there again!
