Good... but with reservations
The hotel itself is very nice. Staff are helpful, the room was super and very clean and the breakfast was great. Location is the main problem, though obviously the hotel can’t be blamed for that. It was an easy walk to the main part of down but the area seemed quite rough and there were numerous erotika shops and massage parlours around the corner. Neither myself nor my 70 year old mother enjoyed walking past these, especially at night (clocks had just changed so it got dark very early). I’m not prudish but I feel other travellers should be warned...

Outstanding hotel
This lovely, comfortable hotel is a short walk from the train station--perfect if you arrive in Salzburg by train. The staff was friendly and very helpful. On the day we arrived, the receptionist provided us with all the information we needed to get around Salzburg effectively and how to best enjoy the sights given the limited time we had there. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was excellent. Our stay at the hotel was most enjoyable, and it made our short visit to Salzburg all the more memorable. On our next trip to Salzburg, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Second stay--just as good as the first
Very friendly welcome.Lovely room. Great breakfast and great service. We’ll be staying again, and particularly as it’s so close to the station, and a very pleasant 15 min walk into the centre.
