conference rooms and service was very good. the room however was another story hot water was cold and the heater smelled like a dead vacuum.

Rio Rancho Conference Center

This place is definitely worth staying. We ate at the motel’s restaurant and absolutely loved it. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly. This place is very convenient to lots of shopping, etc.

Nice room, nice hotel, nice neighborhood.

We loved the general ambiance, a very well maintained and landscaped hotel for the price. The area was clean and safe and there were lots of convenient services and shopping in the area.

Nice weekend getaway hotel...

Wanted a weekend getaway and the hotel was newly renovated, the lobby was nice and large with nice motif. The bar/resturaunt looked nice and appealing. The front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was clean, nice bed, large T.V., the A/C and Heater worked great. Bathroom very clean. The area outside was quiet with no disturbance at all. Exterior of the hotel looked a bit old and dated but the rooms inside were updated. Parking was close to the street and was a concern but our room was close by...The hotel has more of a motel feel...Overall, we had a nice weekend getaway and for the price it was well visiting again......

Good, clean, inexpensive room

Hotel was apparently recently purchased by a new management company. Property and rooms are somewhat old but clean and well-maintained. Hotel staff were all very courteous and helpful, and went out of their way to engage and give recommendations about local restaurants, etc. There was an exhibit of local, New Mexican rugs and other woven goods that added class and warmth to the conference room area. Though several miles north of Albuquerque, property was easy to access. Would highly recommend for reasonable lodging or budget-minded conference/meeting.

Good deal for the price.

Enjoyed stay at Inn at Rio Rancho. Would recommend it as a good deal for a very reasonable price. Room, surroundings areas and breakfast lounge clean and amply suited our needs. Nice continental breakfast. Courteous/friendly staff. Good location. Will definitely stay at this motel again.

The hotel is in great need of a makeover and just general maintenance. The courtyard with the outside pool was nice, but the hot tub was broken and it did not appear that anyone was in a hurry to fix it. The breakfast was minimal and poor quality.

This is an older property and it has been updated but it is showing its age. the cooling system in the room didn’t have knobs on it that works so that made for an interesting sty

I did not like the set up of the hotel, it feels like a old style hotel. The thing that made me most mad is I tried to get a extra hour to check out and they said no.

Not Impressed @ all

I would never recommend the Inn At Rio Rancho to anyone. On the internet they show nice pictures of the lobby and rooms but in actual reality its a MOTEL not a hotel. Customer service was horrible and received different answers from 3 different people and even the manager had a different answer. The staff was very rude. I had also requested a crib and no one helped me set it up. On top of that they gave me a portable play pin that was covered in nicotine and it was broken. I had returned the crib that night and they still tried to charge me for the nicotine covered broken crib I never used. The air conditioning barely worked and when you walked on the carpet it turned the bottom of your feet black. Don’t let the pictures on the internet full you. It’s definetly a MOTEL with poor customer sevice like a MOTEL too.

Great location, with a terrific pool area. The free breakfast was very generous.

This hotel is in a great area of Rio Rancho, with alot to do nearby. The pool area is very nice and clean. The rooms were very clean, but alot of the furnishings were out-dated. Overall, especially when you consider the great price, this was a good place to stay. I would stay there again, and recommend it to someone who is not looking for a 4-star hotel.

The mexican restaurant in the lobby was very good, and they had a children’s menu. The portions were a little small, but the price at lunch was very reasonable.

Not impressed

Hotel could not provide a workable TV remote. They did not provide a coffe pot. The coffee maker was there, but when I asked for a pot, I was told by the front desk that he would report it missing.

We came for a wedding. So we weren’t’ in the room much, so it was fine.

The room was just fine. The pool was in no shape for swimming...green. But we didn’t need it. Also the pillows were horrible. We needed at least two each for any support. But the staff was nice, the room was clean (and old) but the hotel had the most awesome restaurant right across the street!!!

Great Place, Loud Crowd Outside Late at Night

We have stayed at Rio Rancho Inn many times in the past 10 years and, until this stay, had always really liked it. This time, however, on both of the nights we stayed, a very loud large group was in the patio near our room until after midnight. They were yelling and laughing raucously. I called the front desk and they finally sent somebody to tell them to leave. We didn’t get to sleep until after 1 a.m. and had to get up very early the next morning. The next night the same exact thing happened. This is totally unacceptable and we’ve pretty much decided to stay at another place next year when we come to Rio Rancho.

This is not a hotel its a motel!

This is a motel not a Hotel. There are three doors in this room, which is not comforting for a family stay. The 2 outside doors are right next to the alley, the other door is connecting to another room. We can hear all the trafic going by. The locks on the doors do not work.

Outdated Hotel

This hotel is very unique in that it has a front door that you can access from the parking lot and a back door that opens up to the courtyard. The rooms were clean, but very outdated and simple. We had a room with 2 double beds and the size of the room was good - but very poor layout. The bathroom is TINY. It only has a toilet and the shower (which by the way was pretty fantastic). The sink is right outside and is TINY. There was a huge closet that wasn’t used or needed - which could have been used for more bathroom space. The walls are paper thin and we have a very terrible insident on Sat. night. The people next door were having a huge party and woke both of us up. We called the front desk several times and each time they did what the told us they would do. But it took almost 2 hours to get the people kicked out. The police had to come twice. This, of course, was not a reflection of the hotel, more so of the guests. And like i said - the hotel staff did take action on every call. But it left a sour taste in my mouth after it was all over. The breakfast was okay - typical contential breakfast. The pool was very unclean and would never consider swimming there. I also don’t like hotels where you have to enter from the parking lot. All and all it was an okay room - if you needed a place to stay for a night, it’s fine. If you plan to stay there for longer than that, i would suggest looking elsewhere.

We will stay here the next time we are in the area

We found the hotel to be very confortable. We especially enjoyed being so close to the pool. The pool and hot tub was great. The location was nice because it was close to everything we wanted to do. Only a 10 minute drive to meet our Ballon ride and just a few minutes to the Sandia Tramway. The only thing we would have perferred is a microwave in the room.

Room does not have a safe so if you need to secure any items you will have to go to the main desk and the safe deposit box is small.

Clean & Affordable

Recently my family and I traveled through Albuquerque and we’re very pleased to notice the Inn at Rio Rancho listing and this landmark property had been much improved and modernized, so we decided to reserve a couple of rooms. We had stayed at this hotel over a year ago and we were amazed at the beautiful condition and completed progress. This is truly a resort style hotel that offers spacious, clean guestrooms with all the latest amenities, and yet is extremely affordable. We loved the complimentary breakfast and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. We also had an incredible view of the Sandia Mts and thoroughly enjoyed the botanical paradise of their 2 acre courtyard. We highly recommend this gem of a hotel to all travelers passing through Albuquerque/Rio Rancho or as their destination.

good hotel for the money.

There was some mold in the bathroom, but the room and the rest of the hotel was clean. The staff, especially the front desk, were extremely pleasant and helpful. This appears to be an older motel with some rennovations. It is not the same as a more elaborate chain hotel but was in a good location, had helpful staff, and was affordable. It has a really nice courtyard too which is a nice touch.

We did a couple of hikes while we were there. The best by far was Tent Rocks National Monument. Visually amazing!!

Disappointed

The room was not as pictured on the Internet. Bathroom was small and sink outside provided little room for 2 people to maneuver. Pool area was old and grounds were not well maintained. Hotel employees were extremely nice and very accomodating with providing local information and requesting noisy neighbors to be quiet.
