Great Staff
The doormen were lifesavers and helped us out quite a bit. The rest of the staff were also extremely helpful and nice as well.

Wonderful Stay - could go every weekend!
Excellent Service throughout the hotel. All members of staff were friendly and helpful. Extremely comfortable stay in a beautiful hotel. Cant get more central, and if youre lucky - as we were - you get a view of Edinburgh castle from your room!
Take the strain out of finding places - ask the staff - theyll happily give you a map and show you the best way to get there.

Excellent Location & Staff
Went to Edinburgh for Military Tattoo. Stayed at the Caledonian Hilton for three nights (8/20-8/23) in a deluxe twin room facing the castle-room 515. Great view of castle and city. The room is a little dated and could use some cosmetic work but all in all a very good stay. This hotel is one of two "five star" hotels in Edinburgh. Although the hotel is very nice it is not a five star property. With that said, the staff was superb and the hotel has an excellent location right at the end of Princess Street. You can walk to shopping and major city attractions. Castle is a brisk 10-15 min walk, shopping and public park/gardens 2 min walk. There is a lot of street construction on Princess Street so be prepared for some noise from same but not a big problem. The hop on hop off bus has a stop adjacent to the hotel as well as a city bus stop.
