Quite Impressed
I stayed at Squaw Valley Lodge for 3 nights. I was very pleased with everything from the hotel service to the comfort and appeal of my room. The only thing I was disappointed about was that they advertised free wireless internet in the room. My room was just out of range for wireless internet but did have a wired connection in the room. They were a bit misleading about this because if you want a connection faster than dial-up internet speeds, you have to pay for it. The slowest connection option was free. Overall, the hotel itself was pretty nice.
Traveller's tip for business travellers
If youre traveling and need an available internet connection for your work laptop, you better double check with this hotel to make sure what they provide is what you expect as a standard.

My favorite place at Lake Tahoe
This is my third time staying at the Squaw Valley Lodge and it is always enjoyable and very reasonably priced. The rooms are big, comfortable and quiet. The pools, steam and sauna are great and the kitchenette is fully furnished and helps me to keep food costs down. There is a supermarket just down the road to get supplies. They also have a PC available in the lobby (including a printer) free of charge for checking email, printing boarding passes, etc. so I dont have to bring my lap top with me. I also like the covered parking garage for my car. I intend to be a yearly regular.
Traveller's tip on recreational activities
I stay at the lodge in early September. Summer vacation is over, Lake Tahoe is quieter and you can get a good price during this time before the ski season starts.

Great pool!
The bed was small and uncomfortable, my husband slept on the couch.
