Good Basic Hotel In FW
This historic hotel, formerly the Texas Hotel was the place President Kennedy spent his last night on earth. I thought the room was adequate although somewhat overpriced. It had a good location, and was only two blocks from the Amtrak station. My room was on the 14th floor facing southeast providing a good view of the railroad station and the old Flatiron building where my grandfather had an insurance office.

beautiful hotel, cleanliness great, service excellent
The decor in the hotel is beautiful. The guys who take care of your car were very helpful and courteous. We ordered room service one night and the food was excellent. It didn’t take long to arrive to our room. I was very impressed with the staff. They were always very nice and extremely interested in making our stay at their hotel a great experience. I would highly recommend this hotel for a experience of luxury.

Good Clean Hotel
After reading some of these reviews, I was expecting something not that great. After we got to the hotel, we had a large room, a nice king bed, a good size bathroom, all of which were clean. The reason I gave it a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 is just the hotel is not the newest and I am not a big fan of wallpaper, which this hotel had. The carpet was older, but still looked as clean as it could. The bathrooms looked like they were recently redone with marble-like tiles. We had a large HD TV with enough HD channels to go along with it. No complaint there. The concierge was nice and gave us directions, and no problem with checking in and out. A note on parking - if you are staying over a weekend you can get FREE parking on the street for all times of the day. We found parking both nights over labor day weekend just 2 blocks away without a problem. No need to pay whatever it is to park your car, its not worth it. Any meter will be free over weekends (or if you are just staying the night and moving your car early in the morning on weekdays).
