Last-Minute Gem

We canceled our original reservations with another hotel thinking we weren’t going to be able to go on our trip anymore. Turned out that we were able to go, and we booked a room at this Extended Stay a week before the trip. For what it was, it served its purpose. The hotel has larger 1/bdrm suites with kitchens than the average Extended Stay hotel and it was within 4 minutes walking distance to The Rio Hotel. The only downside was that there was only a non-smoking room left, and the room smelled like tobacco residue. (It was pretty gross, and I’m a smoker.) There was also a hole in our comforter due to a previous smoker’s cigarette. Overall, we recommend.

Could Be A Lot Better

Stayed here because it was cheapest for 6 people. They should have been expecting 6, but there was no linen for the pull out bed. Had to use the bed spreads from the other two beds. Only 2 bath towels and 2 sets of dishes. Although we didn’t use the dishes we did use the small coffee pot in the morning, but there was only 1 coffee cup. After trying to get more towels, I didn’t bother asking for more coffee cups. Pool felt like there was a gel substance in the water, and with palm trees right above needs to have a better cleaning system. The only advantage was close to the strip, but I won’t stay here again.

A budget hotel for longer stays.

It seems like the kind of place you would want to stay for a longer period of time, like let’s say you are re-locating to Las Vegas and need somewhere to stay while you are looking for an apartment. It’s cheap and there is a refridgerator and a stove. If you’re going to be in Vegas for only a night or two you really don’t get any value out of this hotel. I spent $30 on a cab to the hotel whereas I if I’d stayed up the street at a casino hotel I could have caught the hotel/airport shuttle for seven dollars. Yes I would have spent $30 more for a room there, but it all evens out, for the same amount of money I would have been at a casino hotel, not out in the sticks.
