Days Inn Seattlesouth Tukwila

Will stay there again if I return to the area.

Very near the freeway, but the room was not noisy. The hotel was clean, staff polite and helpful and available other than the time the access side door to the lobby was locked during times it was said to be open. Is located very close to the Tukwila Community Center where my seminar was held.

Not impressed. Needs remodeled.

This hotel is in need of remodeling. At least the room we were in. There was a strange smell in the room and the toilet ran for a long time after being flushed. The chair had a stain on it, don’t want to know what! We arrived too late to get another room. They may have all been as bad.

Not the WORST place I’ve stayed, but....

First of all, it’s not exactly in the best neighborhood, heightened personal safety is a must! While waiting for my shuttle bus in the lobby, I accidentally dropped my keys in the sofa cushions. When I got to my home airport, I finally realized I had no keys...and knew EXACTLY where they were! I called the hotel and had them check the sofa, they said they weren’t there. The next day, I had the next desk clerk check, still not there. Neither time had they been turned in to housekeeping. When I called the 3rd day, when housekeeping was on duty, I had them check the SAME sofa, and guess what they found!? A little more attention and personal courtesy would have been nice. Yes, my fault for dropping the keys, but why on the 3rd time did they finally find them? If you don’t have to deal with hotel staff, I would recommend staying there. But if you need any type of customer service, get a translator at the very least!

Not within walking distance of anything exciting. EXTREMELY close to the highway....which is evident when you’re trying to sleep!

first time to seattle and loved it

The staff were very helpfull willing to give advice on trips to town,etc I hit it off with the owner of the hotel he said if I stayed one more night he would give us half off rates. This is the place to stay if you want to be near the airport and Seattle

Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks

public bus transportation is 3 blocks away and the best way to see downtown. Good restaraunt next door

cramped room, very noisy, and the continental breakfast was a joke.

Needs improvement

Room was ok but the water wasn’t even hot in the shower, and the electrical outlets didn’t work or were blocked by a light covers that were too big for the space. Not enough parking for motel either. Not a place I would stay again.

I stay there often.

It’s not the Ritz but the cost is reasonable and the location is convenient for my needs.

Needs Improvement

Was given smoking room when I asked specifically not to be given. Desk clerk took a while to make the change then gave me a room that the door seemed to have been broken into. Forget about the wireless access in the room. The pool is good for about 3-4 people only.

Needs Imporvement

We have stayed here before, the first time was good. This time our a/c was broken and did not work als othe toliet was broken and did not fulsh. We did not move rooms becasue it was late at night and we had a a baby with us.

Hotel airport shuttle does not run after 23:00. Cab ride $18 Day staff was pleasant and friendly

Good Value

We wanted an overnight stop before our cruise. It was a clean, comfortable, afordable room with a free breakfast. What more could we want, well a heated pool would of been nice but it was June in Seattle, and hot tub was being repaired.

Just OK

The hotel is ok, we had one queen bed, the toliet rocked when you sat on it but otherwise the room was pretty standard.

Mixed Review... Could be great with some fixes.

While the property and room was clean and mostly comfortable, staff was friendly, location is great and the breakfast waffles were awesome, I do have a few complaints. 1. Upon arriving to check in, I was informed that there was a $100 deposit for "incidentals" that *must* be paid in order to stay.. Either by putting a hold for the amount on my credit (debit) card or handing it over in cash. This was not mentioned anywhere in my booking information and I hadn’t budgeted for an extra hundred dollars, so I didn’t have it. If I hadn’t been able to make some phone calls and arrange to borrow the money, I would have been without a place to stay and out the chunk of money for a non refundable 2 day stay. *Not* cool AT ALL!! As it was, I was delayed about an hour while trying to come up with an extra hundred dollars I didn’t have. 2. The promised wifi didn’t work, despite the fact that I called the hotel directly BEFORE I made the reservation and asked if the wifi worked in *All* the rooms, since I have to have internet for work. I asked, "are you sure" twice, and was assured it did. When I called the office to try and resolve the situation, I got the brush off several times, then told I could come to the office and use my computer in there (no good, as I needed my entire setup, hence the reason I went to extra lengths to be sure I would have wifi in my room). It wasn’t until after 10pm my last night and several phone calls to the front desk, and finally coming to the office, that they offered to let me change rooms, and by then it was a bit late. 3. The sink drained horribly slowly. 4. The water pressure was nearly nonexistent.. which is really bad if you have very long, thick hair that needs washed. 5. There was a shortage of hot water, meaning that since it took so long to rinse with the low water pressure, I got to have a cold shower. 6. Though there was a microwave and fridge in the room, there was no table. Just the desk/dresser combo, which wasn’t suited for eating at. 7. Not as much of a "complaint", per se.. but something that could have been better.. The desk chair was pretty and matched the room and all, but it was ill suited for the purpose. An office type chair would have been much better.

Needs maintenance

The room was very clean and quiet, the bed comfortable, the service good, but the door was damaged, the window needed to be replaced, and it looked like they had painted over other places in the room that needed better repair.

If you don’t mind a hotel room that looks like it’s seen better days, this hotel is a pretty good value for the money.

okay for the money

The website said there was a jacuzzi and there was not. It was okay for the money, but the carpeting was pretty dirty inside, definately need sandals at night. Bed was comfortable.

Great hotel for convenience

We needed a place to stay that was near the airport so we were expecting to hear lots of noise from the planes. However, while there was some road noise from I-5 (easily blocked by the room fan), we didn’t hear a single plane while we were there. While we were a little further from the airport than some hotels, it was just a very short & easy drive to get there. The rooms were older, but everything was very clean and in good shape. There were also updates to the room, like a microwave and fridge. Overall, it was a great room for the price and location.

Pretty good for the price

The hotel is nice, the breakfast is good. The maid starts at 8am so if you dont want to be woken up that early put the do not disturb sign on your door. We had a mix up with the money and ended up being charged twice for the room, so double check that before you leave.

Met my Expectations

Rooms were just what I expected...but the landscaping was very surprising...tropical...but the breakfast...was very accommodating. I’d stay again!

Want to save some $$$$$

I was very pleased with this hotel, and saved about $40.00 over anything in the area. I have to pay for my own hotel on business trips, so carefully looked for the best price I could find. I was very satisfied with the accomodations, the staff was pleasant, free breakfast in the morning was fine, overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this location. It seems that many other people felt the same way because the hotel parking was packed, this place runs at high occupancy due to their pricing. And I feel that in spite of the best pricing in the area (and only 4 miles to Seatac)they keep the property in very good condition. It’s not in a high density hotel area, but there’s a very decent restaurant and bar right next store to the property.

Very reasonable rates and all expected amenities available.
