The Stratsphere was about what I expected for the price. The service was good and the room was clean. For the amount of time we spent in the room, anything else would have been a waste. The surrounding neighborhood and location of the hotel is really out of their control, so I have no complaints. The location is close to downtown, but not the rest of the strip. The staff was very friendly and professional and I would stay there again.

I have been to Vegas several times and want people to know........make sure and take a tour of Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. The tour is about 12 tom 13 hours but very inexpensive and worth every penny. Past that, if you do any amount of gaming activities, just make sure your room is clean, because you won’t be in it often, so don’t overpay for new and modern. Try and determine if a rental car and valet parking is cheaper than cab fare. From the Stratsphere to downtown is less than $10, but every other part of the strip is $20 or better.

You can’t beat it for the price. Amazing pool and spectacular views from the top of the tower. The rooms are very clean.

safisfied but will probably not go back

We have stayed there before and decided to stay this time since it was close to the event that we were in vegas for. Overall it is a nice and centrally located hotel/casino. They have numerous places within the hotel to eat with a wide selections of menu’s. I would recommend this to other people and may decide to stay again on another trip to vegas.

Not happy

I made reservations through expedia. When you go to L.V. you hope to be treated well. The reception person was a dead fish. He gave my self and business associate two rooms for handicap people. We are not in wheelchairs. What if people came who needed the room? The room smells of mildew. A bad room. I will not stay there anymore.

Enjoyed my stay

We stayed as part of an event we were attending at the Convention Center so we were within walking distance [we also had shuttles]. Our TV died on our first morning, we notified the front desk and, when we came back that evening, we were moved to a different room. My only complaint was the lack of view, but I wasn’t in the room all that much and the amenities [big, soft towels, soaps, etc] were of a better quality than a number of places offer. During our stay we dined at the Italian restaurant as well as the Rock & Roll and the coffee shop. All had well prepared food and good service. Our last night was dinner at the top - fantastic view of Las Vegas - food was pricey but plenty of it and delicious! The service was fantastic!

Lacks maintanance!

The rooms a/c was blowing very weak, so we called to get it checked, they came and checked it and said that it was fine. During this time I was suffering from an acute asthma attack. Since the hotel didn’t want to do anything about it, we decided to check it out. We pulled off the front cover and the intake filter was completely compacted with dust and lint and trash. The a/c was struggling to suck the air though the filter, which in turn was lacking volume on the cold air side. Also the air that was coming out of it was the extremely dirty and dusty. This hotel is highly unrecommended. By the way, i’m a really easy person to please so keep that in mind.

5 Star Quality with budget pricing

I always stay there when in Vegas. The quality and cleanliness of the rooms makes your stay very comfortable.

Good overall. Not impressed.

It seems like service to the customer has been forgotten at the management level. I have a small incident in the hotel which was aggravated by the behavior and demeanor of the manager in charge. I also met another customer who had a small incident with her room keys. I do not think customers can get good service when too many mistakes are made and managers do not try to go the extra step to give solution to the problem with the least trouble to their customers. I did not receive an apology from any of the personnel pr the hotel itself to my two hours ordeal in the hotel. The small incident was done by the hotel personnel or system. I think that I will not give the hotel another chance to redeem itself since nobody in the hotel has done anything to see I was okay or not with the small incident.

Good value and nice place to stay

I stayed 3 nights and only left the hotel once. Included with the room is a free ride up the Stratosphere tower. For $25 they had the all day buffet, so that can save some money eating there.The room is nice, but the TV is small - but you don’t go to Vegas to stay in your room and watch TV.

Real review was too long, so bullet points: Confusing array of room types - price shoppers beware. Suites and Luxury Guest rooms are quite different. Rooms inexpensive, everything else, extra, and not cheap. Lucky’s, Roxy’s Diner, and Buffet ok, pizza place disappoints. Airport style security at tower - all law abiding citizens rendered defenseless. Tower admission now added to rooms, even if you don’t visit multiple-murder-ok zones. Stratosphere property is a "U" off the strip into a very bad neighborhood - no going out at night. I’ll go back to the MGM Signature - consistently superior rooms, no crack dealers outside, and no metal detectors / searches - about the same price.

Extremely comfortable overnight stay

My wife and I stayed at the Stratosphere one night on route from northern Nevada to northern Arizona in late October. We stayed on a Thursday when the room rate were less than most hotels and motels. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was very clean. The view of the clean parking garage from the room was okay. The check-in counter gave us discount coupons which we used at the on-site coffee shop restaurant serving excellent dinners. We visited the top of the Stratosphere as hotel guests at no cost.. We had our pictures taken which we bought. It was a very pleasant evening. We have stayed here once before and would not mind coming back if we’re traveling through the area.

Great place to stay; wonderful staff.

Would definitely come back. Pool needs to be heated though (we were there end of Oct.) and the 7:00 p.m. curfew on the pool/jacuzzi is waaaaay to early. Otherwise, staff and service is wonderful. Very clean.

Basic but not bad

We have stayed at the Strat many times, and it is always clean and decent for the price. It is stretching to remain a 3 star hotel, but it is still worth the great price you get. If you don’t plan to do much more than sleep at a reasonable place near the action, it is still the best bargain you will find. It is best to have a car with this property, because it is a few miles to the main area of the strip or to downtown.

Enjoyable Vacation

We stayed at the hotel for 5 days... it was great. Layed by the pool, very nice. Location was good, your close to the strip, close to Denny’s, and Freemont street. The maid service was nice, she did a good job. The noise of other guest was good, it was pretty quiet. The only problem I wasn’t happy with was the toilet sorta sucked on flushing but other then that the room was nice. Lots of options for eating right in the hotel. The View at the top was spectatcular !!! Being a guest there it is free. Yes, next time we go to Vegas, we will book our room at the Stratosphere !!

Sept or first part of Oct. is the best,, the crowds are gone, so it is more relaxing time. Can get around a little easier. And the Weather is great. Not to hot, just nice and warm.

Good place for budget minded.

Very clean and friendly staff. On the north end of the strip which was good for us since we were there for the nhra race. Good hotel for the price.

All of the employees were very courteous and helpful. As I didn’t want to stay mid - Strip, this was a great location. Top of the World was a great restaurant in which to celebrate our fifth year anniversary dinner. Very romantic!

You must check out the las vegas Zoo and the Natural History Museum. Although small, bith locations are really impressive and are doing great work within their fields of expertise.
