Moderately priced, friendly staff, very good hotel choice
We were very pleased with the Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center Hotel!. This was our second visit to this hotel and we will most likely choose to stay here on future visits to Portland! The staff members were extremely pleasant and offered very helpful information about the city of Portland, places to visit and other helpful tips to make our visit to Portland a very pleasant one. Our room was comfortable and clean and the decor was neat and well kept. If you are looking for a moderately priced, well kept hotel with a very friendly professional staff, choose the Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center Hotel!
Echo Restaurant provided a small intimate dining experience with friendly atmosphere, personable staff and a surprisingly good selection of tasty menu selections!

Great hotel
The only hotel to stay at if you are going to the Convention Center. I have stayed at most in the area and this is by far the BEST and not the most expensive either!

Don’t expect a wake-up call
Hotel was great with one GLARING exception: Of the six nights I stayed, wake-up calls were wrong fully half the time. Two were missed completely, and one -- the one my first morning there -- came at 5:00 a.m. rather than 6:00. Complaints to the desk staff were met with smiling faces and promises to do better but there were no corrective actions as far as I could tell; one of the missed wake-up calls included the one my last morning there, when I really needed to get up on time for my flight out of town.
