Business Travelers will Enjoy
I was in Edmonton for business and a friend recommended the Matrix. The room was clean and well appointed for a business traveler. The location was close to restaurants and to the downtown. The staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend the Matrix.

Would Stay Again
Although the exterior seemed run down, the interior was modern and refreshing. The room was very modern Asian with the theme of black, silver and white. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the bed was comfy. The restaurant that is directly next door (The Wildflower Grill) was a five star experience. Our waiter, Joss, was fantastic. He provided us recommendations of other fine restaurants in Edmonton.
Traveller's tip on dining
Skinny Legs and Cowgirls is another excellent restaurant. Dont let the exterior turn you off.

Beautiful, Modern Hotel in the Heart of Everything
I really enjoyed my stay here at the Matrix. Had room service the first night. It was very fast and friendly. The food -while not stellar - was good! The wine tastings each evening were wonderful! I found a fabulous Malbec that I ended up ordering a bottle of- it was so delicious! The breakfast was also very yummy and had a wide variety of options - hot or cold. Its close enough to drive to everything - my faverite being shopping on Whyte Ave. Parking at night was a bit tricky as spaces could fill up quickly. The bed/room was very comfortable, but Ive had more comfortable sleeping elsewhere - seemed a bit too firm for my taste, but I also like beds that are ooey gooey soft. This was a GREAT value for the money - at the time I booked it was the best rate and I feel very worth it as a whole experience.
Traveller's tip on shopping
The Black Swan, vintage jewelery on Whyte Avenue is one of the most amazing shopping experiences ever. I always have to stop in and see what she has!
