Not impressed
This hotel is currently under construction so it’s a mess. Also the hotel is located in a bad part of Dallas and it’s not safe to walk around it at night. We actually witnessed someone getting mugged. Do not stay here.

Excellent front desk service
Although the hotel was under major renovation, we found our stay fabulous. The bathrooms were small for a family of 4 sharing a room but the service made up for it. Don, the front desk attendant was superb and even let us choose between two rooms. Derrick, the hotel driver, was friendly and made some great recommendations for dinner. This was the best hotel service we have ever had due to Don and Derrick.
The dining in the West End was great for families. Good selections and fair prices for downtown. The Hoffbrau Steakhouse is a must eat at restaurant. Great service, atmosphere and food.

Under Construction
The hotel was under major construction and we were not warned at all. There was no first floor lobby (all blocked off), passenger drop off area (all blocked off)or parking around the hotel (again, all blocked off). There were no signs on the outside directing guests to the entrance either(which was almost completely blocked by temporary wood walls). We entered through the garage area at night so we could not see the front entrance, and had to call in the morning and ask how to get out of the hotel. The staff was helpful enough to help us get out of the place though.
