Tired and needs attention
It is a grand old building, but it seems to be struggling with everything from maintenance to staff.

Still some kinks
The rooms are great. Both times I stayed we had a reasonably priced king suite. When they renovated they kept the character of the rooms. The first stay the TVs were good LCD models. the second stay had old TVs - one of which would not stay on and the other wouldnt work with the remote. The staff was friendly and helpful

Not impressed
The light over the bathroom sink did not work. The front desk was called immediately upon arrival to the room (Friday afternoon around 3:30). The front desk indicated that they would send someone from maintenance to our room. We checked out on Sunday at 12:00, and the light was never fixed. When housekeeping came on Saturday morning, they took all of the bath towels and did not replace them. I had to go to the front desk to get towels Saturday at midnight. The hotel was under construction, so the lobby was less than appealing. The elevators ran so slow and were so small, that after waiting for over 5 minutes and multiple elevator cars full of people and bags, we finally just carried our bags down 6 flights of stairs on Sunday morning when we were checking out of the hotel. The parking garage was up the street and was full on Saturday night when we came back to the hotel, so we were redirected to another lot.
