Not terrible, but nothing special either
This hotel was fine--nothing super but not terrible. It’s about ten to fifteen minutes (walking) from the nearest metro station, and didn’t seem to be close to the waterfront or the city center. The hotel staff was helpful enough, even giving us a street map and pointing us in the direction of the metro. As for the room, it was your standard budget hotel room. They did have wifi available, which was nice, but we wound up parking in a paid hospital parking lot down the street, so if you’re driving, be aware that we weren’t made aware of any on-site parking.

Needs improvement
Room was comfortable, but toilet seat was dirty. I requested it to be cleaned, but housekeeping never came. I had to go to the front desk for Lysol and clean it myself. Breakfast buffet was OK but very average.

I will never go there again
the room i was offered at the Citadines was terrible. When you walk in there is a horrible smell. The floor is a very dirty lino. My feet were black underneath when I walked barefoot on it. The bed was an old sofa bed that folded out. The blankets were too old and hadn’t been washed in ages. The bathroom was old needed updating badly. The shower curtain was filthy. The carpet in the corridor was covered in stains and the whole area smelt badly. they don’t give you clean towels for 7 days unless you pay extra. I tried to change to another room but was nothing available The receptionist was not that interested. this hotel ruined my stay in Marseille. I can’t beleive it. I tried to find alternative accomodation but it was too short notice so I had to stay there. It was a disaster and I beleive this website should not offer rooms which are in that state.
