Very impressed!
For such a small city, we expected a mediocre hotel (even though it claimed 4 stars). We were very impressed with the loation, the size of the room and the overall maintaince of the hotel and belive you me, WE ARE PICKY!
Traveller's tip on local attractions
The walk following the sidewalk "chicks" on metal plates throughout the city which boasts the best views of the historical sites and so forth, begins near the entrance of the hotel.

Excellent Hotel Service and town to discover
We satyed at Sofitel Dijon for an overnight stay during a long car journey to the South of France to attend a Wedding. We arrived earlier than expected to Dijon and the very friendly receptionist, I’m sorry do not recall his name assisted us by offering an early check in without us even asking. He also recommended while waiting to take a tour of the city which would take an hour minimum and upon our return the room was ready. "All you have to do is follow the arrows or owls". This was an excellent idea and we really felt we explored the city. When we returned we checked into a room which although well appointed was a little noisy from the lifts but by making one call to reception a porter moved us to a quieter part of the hotel with no fuss at all. WOW! what a nights sleep the beds are heaven! Even though our stay was a one night stop over I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends. Thank you

Excellent Hotel
I decided to stop off in Dijon on my drive down to the south coast of France. Dijon itself is an excellent point at which to stop and is a thoroughly attractive and interesting place in its own right. In terms of the Soffitel I would recommend it very highly - the staff were very friendly and helpful, there was secure parking and the room and facilities were very comfortable. My only gripe was the breakfast which I thought was very over priced and quite poor to be honest. I think it would be better to go into the town for breakfast in future.
