Great breakfast!
We’d been staying at a Sheraton Hotel in Guilin so maybe that’s why we were upgraded when we arrived at Sheraton Xian. Just wondered why we’d be upgraded to a disabled room tho’ when neither of us were disabled! In spite of that the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a huge range of food on the breakfast buffet and the food was great. A pleasant place to stay.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Great place to visit the terracotta warriors but you may wish to check the tour first. We spent most of the day visiting shops when we just wanted to see the warriors. The guide was very sweet until we said we didn’t want to visit any more shops but did want to see the old city and heritage places. We paid for a private tour but ended up being returned to the hotel early because we wouldn’t buy anything.

On the fence
Most staff are friendly & approachable, far better than most european hotels we have stayed in. Hotel is fairly old & cleanliness can be improved. The room showed its age but big. With the air-con oulet facing directly the bed, one could catch old very easily.
Traveller's tip
Must see the eighth wonder of the world, ’’Terracotta Warriors’’ & many other treasures of the first Emperor of China in the tomb next to the warriors. Those two sites are about 45km from Xian.
