Great Location...Great Hotel
This hotel met all my expectations and more. It is located a bit outside of of Banff which makes it very quiet and peaceful with views and trails very close. The room had a balcony, fireplace and huge bathroom...very romantic. The staff was extremely accommodating, courteous and friendly. We had dinner at the hotels main dinning room on our wedding night. It was a bit pricey (everything is expensive in Banff though) but the food was exquisite and the service impeccable. I would recommend this lodge to anyone.

It was okay, but...
The front desk staff seemed a little under par when asking for help other than a straight check in or check out. We had the manager help us each time, who was very friendly. The rooms do not have air conditioning, but with the windows open, it was a nice place. The pillows were great, but the bed needs some updating (lump in the middle). The view was ok, but nothing spectacular. The Cilantro restuarant was very cozy and had great food. Free parking is definitely a plus. Hot tub is beautiful as pictured through this site. A bit pricy for what you get in comparison to other places available.

comfortable banff stay
This was a very nice place. The room was large and the bathroom was awesome with a claw foot tub and heated slate floor. We had a balcony facing the mountains and a fireplace with ample wood. The beds were comfortable and there were two comfortable chairs to read and face the fire. It was a bit of a walk to the town, but that just added to the ambience keeping it a bit isolated
