Very impressed
The Grand has been refurbished a couple of years ago, and I was very impressed with the new look (although Id not seen the old look). We were greeted by the hotel manager upon arrival, and they looked after us for the whole weekends stay - even remembering our names. It was a really personal touch. The rooms are varied - you can get some at the back or pay extra for those overlooking the harbour and castle across the water. We got an Expedia deal, so it was the back room for us: but apart from the lack of sea view, we were not disappointed. Very comfortable beds, flat screen TV with loads of channels, books by the bed to read, tea/coffee, iron, towels (obv), robes and slippers. Everything you could need. The hotel facilities are great: the pool was not too hot, with a good size hot tub. Didnt try the other spa facilities, but there were plenty of options. The restaurant served breakfast in the morning - a delicious mixture of continental and hot. The fresh bread and jams were delicious. We ate a Sunday lunch in the restaurant which was also (all 3 courses) really good, and amazing value for money. Bar ("Champagne Lounge") is beautiful with many little booth areas for privacy overlooking the sea. Food here was also lovely. Drinks a little pricey (no draught beers), but this was the place to go - Fri/Sat nights were packed full of people socialising and enjoying the atmosphere and non-intrusive music. Definitely recommended, and wouldnt hesitate to go back.

very impressed
Excellent hotel, cant fault the staff very helpful. Excellent facilities in Spa- pool, sauna jacuzzi etc. Spotlessly clean. Rooms very plush and cosy. Fabulous restauraunt and breakfast. Only fault was if staying in back of hotel room can be quite dark, no views and noisy pigeons or seagulls in the morning which seem to nest outside the window. Would definitely go back if had to visit Jersey again.

Grand Jersey Hotel
We stayed there for 5 nights for our honeymoon and it couldnt have been better. The hotel staff were very helpful and always cheerful. The spa was uncrowded, infact in the afternoon we had it mainly to ourselves. The beach was directly opposite and it was just a short walk to everywhere. Couldnt recommend it enough!
Hire a smart car, they are loads of fun and it gets round the whole island very cheaply
