needs little maintenance work
i think the room needs a bit of maintenance work. the birthroom ceiling was somehow discolored as if it was previously leaking. again the air conditioner was working properly. the window wouldnt stay open for some reason.

I liked that the hotel was historic in nature, the staff were GREAT! The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever been on. For the price, was unhappy. Location was good, very centrally located to what my needs were. Would recommend and go back if the bed situation were corrected. I am planning to be back in Cardiff in Dec. and looking at other hotels rather than the Angel.

This hotel is very centrally located to Cardiff University, food, pubs, shopping, located across the street from Cardiff Castle. Could not ask for better location for business, holiday/vacation, family friendly

You have been warned
Whatever you do check location of allocated room. I did’nt! Allocated a bedroom overlooking main road past Cardiff Castle. Traffic noise so bad I did not get to sleep until gone 0300 hrs. Not good preparation for a Board meeting the next day! Other than that would recommend hotel for the high level of personal service and general comfort. Oh for an investment in secondary glazing!
