Good quality friendly and right by the station
I stayed here for a couple of days and I have to say I was really impressed. I’d stayed there about 10 years ago and though clean and comfy it felt tired. They’ve refurbed it and my room was great. Looks quite modern, was really comfy and very clean. Free wifi, good location and a nice bathroom I would recommend staying there and will stay there next time I’m up in Newcastle.
The hotel is right next to central station, you are about 2 minutes from the bigg market, 5 minutes from the Quayside as well as all the other bars, restaurants and fun things to do in Newcastle. If you want to stay somewhere thats quite nice and that will allow you to get to all the good bits without the need of a taxi the The Royal Station is a winner.

Very Happy
Excellent room and room service - Good service and excellent location for train station/town centre/NUFC, the latter being my reason for visit.

Cheaper and better than the nearby Four Star hotels
Victorian charactor with contemporary rooms - good service - excellent breakfasts - FREE Wi Fi and try finding a hotel closer to the station ;o)
Some rooms at the front are single glazed and suffer noise from the street. Although rooms at the back of the hotel back onto the station - the trains generally make less noise than the students.
