Good for the night
Given some other reviews of the Coast Inn that I read, I hesitated. But it turned out okay. The smell was that clean hotel smell. I’m not sure what they use for that. The room was clean enough. The bed was a little soft for my taste, but okay. The front of the motel faces the highway, so occasionally, the sounds of a siren were very loud. The rates of the area generally are high, which I attributed to Katrina, so I guess it was an okay deal for the money. I just spent one night there.

Just OK
My room was clean but lacked any amenities. However, my son and I were on a fishing trip so we were not looking for a glamorous hotel. Good location near places to eat and shop. Staff was very nice. Just a very generic place to spend a night and move on.

Convenient place to stay
We always stay here when we come to town. Close to shopping and restaurants. Even though it doesn’t have a pool or restaurant, we were there only to sleep. We were too busy doing other things.
Traveller's tip
Depends on what you are looking for. Cheaper that other hotels in area and just as nice with the same amentities.
