July 2008 visit (2 nights)
I stayed during July 2008. I found the hotel very comfortable with friendly staff. The weather was very warm and humid so I did notice the absence of air-conditioning although a fan was provided without request. I met and chatted to the manager and he told me that the building was ’listed’ so some alterations would be tricky. I would definitely stay there again.

Typical Country Hotel
The hotel itself had a lot of charm. Our room was on the forth floor, but there wasn’t a lift, fine for us but other people may want to request a ground or first floor room. We needed to ask for extra towels as only one set was supplied, however they did bring the towels fairly quickly. The bed was a double a bit on the small side, but comfortable.
