Very Good Hotel
Hotel is in a very nice suburb of the city, and is a short tram ride to the city centre. Staff are excellent, friendly and very helpful. We got a weekend B&B rate which was very good value, buffett breakfast was excellent, snack food on the terrace was good but very expensive. I would definitly stay here again.
Skip the Terrace Bar, its very overpriced, crossover the canal bridge and enjoy the cafes a few hundred meters down the street

Great hotel
The concierge service was great, location was a little outside the main tourist areas but for me that was a plus as Amsterdam can sometimes be too "hippieish" for me. Room service was great and we actually got our first breakfast for free (approx. 50 euro value). The outdoor bar and lawn are the best for a nice August afternoon.

Amsterdam Brilliant, Hilton Amsterdam not so!
Uninspiring building (ancient decor), unfriendly and unmotivated staff. Rooms okay but nothing worth raving about, have stayed in several Hiltons in Europe and this is by far the worse...no gym, no pool, no atmosphere. Plus really far from the centre of the city and very pricy for drinks even by 5* standards. Go Elsewhere!
