A poor nights sleep
An unremarkable hotel generally. Very close to the East Midlands Airport and no double glazing. Noisy. The twin beds should have been replaced years ago and the mattress was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. Complaints made at check out have not yet been responded to by the hotel manager.

Fantastically old and original
Like going back a century or so, this hotel is brilliant if you want old. It matches the village it sits in perfectly. The reception staff were so friendly and the rooms so different.

One mile from Donington Race Circuit, the taxi door to door was only 7 quid.

Would try again
The hotel staff were all friendly, professional and very helpful, unfortunately my room whilst being clean and as described had an air of damp about it, being in an annexe to the main building this may not be typical but nonetheless not particulary pleasant. The food was good and well presented and the full english breakfast was one of the best I’ve had.
