I was very impressed with the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very neat and clean. The breakfast was more than ample. I would stay there again

Good hotel

This was a good hotel. Although I’m not allowed to mention prices I would say it was a decent value for what we paid. I would place this hotel at one small notch below a Hampton Inn. The breakfast was fairly good but very starchy. The only proteins came from some cold hard boiled eggs which you are not allowed to microwave and yogurt cups. The pool was tiny. Actually it’s more like a "waterslide receptacle." The kids will absolutely love it. The adults won’t. There are two equally small jacuzzi’s. the rooms are nice and clean and the service was good. They constantly ran out of cookies. When I asked the clerck for more she replied that everytime she put them out people would take them. To which I replied, "Well, that’s our job. So please put some more out." But again a pretty nice place if you can get a good rate

Fantastic Experience

This place was perfect in every way for us. We spent 4 nights there and found the location to be a great central location for visiting Mt. Rushmore to the south, the badlands and Wall Drug to the east, and Deadwood to the west. The service was outstanding, the breakfast was great, the rooms were very quiet, the location was right off the interstate and across the street from a mall and several nice restaurants, the rates were very reasonable, and it had an awesome pool and slide.

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

We traveled with children and our favorite attractions to the south of Rapid City included Mt. Rushmore, Crazyhorse, and the Alpine slide in Keystone. The 1880 train ride & woodcarvers museum were both overpriced and disappointing. We recommend a visit to the Badlands park and Wall Drug to the east for an enjoyable day. We all loved Deadwood. Be sure to stop at the visitors center for schedule of gunfight re-enactments.
