Istanbul is Great!!!
Hotel was superb and they were fitting double glazing while we were there so the noise from traffic and mosques was greatly reduced. It is a very vibrant city with lots of history and amazing places to see. The people are very friendly and the food is great. If you want a different holiday then go to Istanbul.
remember to haggle at the Grand Bazaar

Hotel Spectra Istanbul
!) Hotel was a stones throw away from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace, which makes exploring Istanbul very easy. 2) Room was always clean with fresh towels laid out everyday. 3) Breakfast was healthy and tasty. Dont expect American breakfast but instead we were treated to a healthy spread of olives, honeycomb, muesli, and a variety of breads. 4) The bell boy was very attentive to your needs, constantly offering to make you a cup of tea or coffee afte you have had a long day exploring Istanbul.
Use the havas bus service to get from the Sabiha Gokcen airport to the city centre in Taksim Square. Taxis are very expensive. Use the trams to get around. Cheap and convenient. Dont bother with the Sufi dance, at 40YTL i expected more. Would have been happy to pay 20YTL. Take the Bosphorus Cruise, departs from Eminonu pier at 10.35am. At 20YTL it is worth it.

Great budget hotel in good position
Good hotel great breakfasts and stunning view from the breakfast terrace. Helpful staff. Would recommend the hotel install black out curtains as the room was quite bright and noisy on the lower floors. We all enjoyed our stay in Istanbul and would go back again
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Save money by walking down to the pier and taking a bospherous boat trip for 20 lire. Cheaper than the organised trip we took. Visit turkish bath but go to the local one rather than the touristy one which was pricey and very busy.
