middle of the road
the hotel did not have the room i booked, there was no ice machine on our floor, and there were noises coming from the bathroom all night long.

Charm School
The situation with the Winston-Salem Marriott and adjoining parking garage is a little bit unclear until you are already in the garage and then ask someone. I mean, $6 in a reasonable price for 24 hours, but the pricing structure is a little vague. I asked one of the women at the front desk at the hotel about it and she acted kind of irritated by my question. The girl who was working with her at the front desk was much more friendly... thankfully.

Winston Salem’s Best Hotel
The Marriott Downtown is a great hotel with wonderful staff. It is centrally located near everywhere you might want to go. The ajoining parking deck gives easy access to the hotel. If you are staying more than a few days, get the daily pass versus paying every time you leave the parking deck. It’s cheaper that way.
Traveller's tip for business travellers
If traveling from the airport on 40W, take 40 W business to Cherry Street Exit downtown. When you exit on Cherry Street, the hotel is 3 blocks on your right. The parking deck is on the left in front of the hotel.
