For this price, keep looking.
Dingy hotel and they tried to charge me for the room even though I’d already paid through Expedia. The area around the hotel looks a bit dicey but I had no problems (single female traveller). I wasn’t there long enough to try any of the restaurants nearby, but they looked interesting.

Good for a short stay
The hotel is very close to downtown and you can literally walk to Dodger’s Stadium. The neighborhood is a little dicey, fine during the day but I wouldn’t go walking through there at night. The bed was very uncomfortable and they could only give us 1 extra pillow. If you need a place to stay for a few nights, this is ok, but I wouldn’t recommend spending a whole week here. The continental breakfast is kind of skimpy too.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Only about 5-10 minutes from the Staples Center and you can walk to Dodger’s stadium. So it’s a good location if you’re just in town to see a couple of games (that’s what we did).
