Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel and Conference Center

Incredibly bad hotel

When I entered my room at the Sheraton in the Meadowlands I was hit with a thick odor of perfume on old stink. You know the smell: You are in a locker room and one guy is putting on cologne after a shower on on side of you, while the other is just pulling off a sweat-infused jersey. This Sheraton suffers from the heavy traffic it clearly cannot handle as a hotel near Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. On my floor, the carpets were stained and worn, and the paint chipping. Then, on our last night there, they did not clean the room – not at all. The hotel SAID they would comp the room for one night. I checked on the comp at check out, BUT SINCE I PAID WITH EXPEDIA, they could not give me a receipt. Now, this morning, I find two charges on my credit card of $50 each. I think they comped the room then raised the rates on the other two nights! Actually it is really not a good choice in terms of location either. There is a “free” shuttle to the train station, but the driver hit us up for five dollars each tip. The shuttle does not start until 9 am, so if you have business in NYC you may be out of luck. A taxi ride two and from the station is $25 dollars with a tip and a taxi to the nearest bus stop is about the same. All in all … this is truly a 1/2 star hotel.

Its far from the train sattion, so you need to use the hotel free shuttle or a cab (and than spend $20 each time that you want go to station or to hotel) You lost about 40 minutes to arrive in NY.
