Four star??
Very poor hotel. Basically in a retail park off the motorway. A Travellodge would have been cleaner and tidier and probably of similar standard. No Air-Co or mini-bar in rooms. Decor tired and shabby. Very noisy rooms. Staff arrogant and unhelpful. A big disappointment

Ideal touring base
After having spent nearly five hours travelling to your hotel (courtesy of a 25 mile traffic jam on the M25!) we were greeted by a pleasant and informative receptionist. Formalities over, we found our room to be comfortable and generally clean....a little more attention by housekeeping would have been appreciated given the massive old cobweb behind the desk unit and cobwebs on the ceiling!.....Not brilliant. Dinner and service that evening was poor. Imaginatively described dishes on the menu.......bland and clearly bulk bought catering food. Understaffed as well. Credit where its due, breakfast was very good indeed...excellent sausages and bacon! Would certainly stay again but PLEASE......more attention to detail.
Just go to Cambridge....you are spoiled for choice .......be careful of the car parking charges though...£22.00 for over 5 hrs is criminal! Will try Park and Ride next time!

Extremely helpful and friendly staff
The hotel itself is a little worn around the edges and dated, but the rooms are quiet and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally helpful and went out of their way to answer questions. We ordered dinner and breakfast and both were excellent. The pool and spa were basic but again the staff was friendly. There was plenty of parking and the grounds were quite peaceful and in excellent condition. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was minutes away from downtown Cambridge but parking and driving in Cambridge is a nightmare.Take the local bus to town.
