Time for some renovations
The hotel looks old, run down and in need of major renovations inside and out. We expected the Ramada name would mean a clean, decent quality hotel. Not this one! Given the current condition of the hotel and its location, would not book a room at this hotel again unless it was available for a much cheaper price than other comparable hotels.

Comfortable with good pool
I stayed with my teenage kids in this hotel for two nights. The two-bed room was large clean and comfortable. The room temperature was fine and we had no noise issues. The attached Smitty restaurant provided satisfactory food at fair rates for dinner and an ample breakfast. Europeans might prefer the breakfast options "for those with a smaller appetite". Water park is an exageration. The two pools were a bit rough at the edges but, for a modest hotel, the two water sldies were excellent. The hotel is in the surburbs of Edmonton in an area which is not very attractive (not unusual in the business areas) and it is not very pleasant walking to nearby restaurants due to wide roads and poor footways. But walking is not something that many Canadians do and if your intent spending time at the Mall, downtown, or just passing through it is not an issue.

Awesome!
I booked here so my teenagers could go to the big mall and be close to the airport. I was truely surprised at the quaility of my room. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hot water was plentiful (I have two teenagers who NEED showers) and the water pressure was great. The waterpark was great and my teens liked it (I even tried it)! The only complaint I have is one of the front desk people (I wont name him) was not very friendly at all. He made me feel liek I was bothering him when I asked for an extra towel. The restaurant served good, plentiful food and the price was comparitive to other places. Overall, our stay was great and I would definately stay there again.
