Good location for lots of activities

At first we weren’t sure where to pick up the keys, as the address Expedia provided was off a bit. For the Tyra condo’s, pick up keys at BlueSky, on Snowflake Lane. Also, unlike regular hotels with a 3pm check-in time, check-in time for these condos is 4pm. Once we got that sorted out, our stay was great. The Tyra condos are right along the 4 O’Clock run. We were there in July so no skiing, but we could walk up to the Peak8 Fun Park (fun, if overpriced). Comfortable furnishings, nice floorplan, usable kitchen. More generally, Breckenridge is a nice central point for summertime adventures. The drive out from Denver was reasonable, we were about an hour away from some great whitewater rafting through Brown’s Canyon, and just 15-20 minutes from Frisco/Dillon, where we caught a movie. The bike trail system in the region is truly impressive as well. Overall a great trip, and the Tyra condo’s were a great choice for our family (including 3 boys between 10 & 14).

Traveller's tip on recreational activities

Go whitewater rafting through Brown’s Canyon on the Arkansas River. There are plenty of companies that offer half-day or full-day trips. Our full-day trip (with a steak lunch in the middle) cost ~$80 per person, which feels expensive until you do it. It’s worth it, so just build it into your budget and have fun.
