very well placed for sightseeing
the hotel is in an excellent position as far as visiting all the major sites, the cathedral is a 10 min walk. We walked up to the Alhambra which only took around 20 mins, it is up a hill, but there are buses going all the time. The town itself we found disappointing as the new buildings are very ugly and are juxtaposed amongst the beautiful old ones. No thought has gone into it. Luckily the old area is only a short distance, 10 mins walk from hotel, check out the roman baths along the way. Many good eating places. Eating out is very expensive, we really noticed the difference this year. Just stopping for a sandwich and a coffee for two was always around 20 euros or more if we had a beer or wine. Meals on an evening ranged from 75 euros to 100 euros for two, more expensive than home. The quality varied greatly. Have lunch in one of the squares up in the albacin area, very pretty. 3 days is definitely long enough to see everything that is worth seeing.
get the airport bus to the centre, only 3 euros, get off at the second to last stop, just a short walk to the hotel, do the same on your return journey. Taxis very expensive, not necessary. It worked very well for us.

Great Weekend in Granada
The hotel is perfectly positioned on a lively narrow street lined with tapas bars and restaurants in the heart of Granada. Although in a lively area we found the 3rd floor rooms to be quiet and had no problem sleeping. The rooms are comfortable, clean and in good condition. From the airport to Hotel we took the airport shuttle bus and jumped off at the 6th stop which is only a few hundred yards from the hotel. The public shuttle bus to the Alhambra can be picked up within 5 minutes walking distance of the hotel and it provides a rapid journey to the main entrance. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in Granada and can highly recommend the hotel based on price, location, condition of rooms and helpful desk staff.
Traveller's tip on local attractions
Do not miss the rabbit warren to the north of the city, it is a bit of a trek up the hills - you can take the bus, and you will be greeted with a marvelous vista of the Alhambra during sun set.
