Like all hotels, you can only rate the hotel on how much you paid for it. I managed to get quite good rates and therefore, I would recommend this hotel for what I paid. One thing that should be pointed out though is that I would not rate this hotel as 4 star at all in terms of the room itself. The hotel was very nice but the bathroom was a bit dated and needed freshening up. Nothing wrong with it other than the grouting in the bathroom was desperately needing redone. The air conditioning was pretty useless however, as the windows did open and it was not that noisy outside, I slept quite well. In terms of the noise inside the hotel, I did not think this to be that bad really compared to most hotels. I should point out though that I had friend staying next door so knew I would not get bothered by them making noise. Always remember to put a "do not disturb" notice every night on your bedroom door as they start cleaning rooms quite early. The breakfast was quite good for the price. Had all the usual stuff you would expect in a european hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful however, if you eat in the restaurant, although the food is quite good (apart from the salad bar), the service is pretty slow. In terms of location, it has about 30 mins walk from the main part of town centre in Pest side. If you prefer not to walk, the buses and trams are quite regular.

Good hotel
A little 1970s but very clean with polite and helpful staff. Nice location within easy walking distance to transport shops and restaurants.
Traveller's tip
Taxis Beware of any taxi that has no company logo - they will rip you off bigtime.

Pleasently Suprised
My buddy and I went to Budapest on vacation. The hotel room was a twin bed shared room. The beds were very comfortable. I recommend buying the included breakfast, it was delicious. The hotel was cheap and very luxurious. It may be a longer walk to go sight seeing but I had a great time.
Traveller's tip on saving a few bucks
Just be careful when you get in a cab in Budapest. Cab drivers in this city will overcharge you.
