Its a winner

I have been going to this hotel for many years - I travel as a single parent with two children and have always been made to feel safe and welcome. It is right in the heart of International Drive which can be a bit ’gawdy’ but I have never encountered any problems and it is close to all the attractions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They are currently remodernising the rooms and the improvements look really good.

One-Night Stay

I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean room and good service. While it is not a luxury hotel, it is convenient to Universal Studios and shops along International Drive.

Not impressed.

The staff was terrible. We were put in a room that smelled like smoke and then were transfered to another room at our request.

the hotel is very close to everything the i trolley is very good and cheap the bathrooms very small. price to high for rooms

This was our second trip to this hotel and was as clean and great as our first time. Would really recommend it.

Steakhouse over the road has really gone down hill, begins with a P. Have used them for 20 yrs on every visit to Florida. Breakfast was poor as bacon as just in shreds and also the sausage are tiny and taste like jelly with a few herbs. Steak on the evening as all fat and also the fries & jacket were stone cold. Really disappointed. Recommend you try the sports bar up the road (Buffalo wing bar or something). Food great and also really good value. A pitcher of Bud was also only $6 - Bargain!

ok to lay your head

When we arrived, our tv remote wasn’t working. After calling front desk, they immediately came to our room and fixed the problem. No wait at all. It’s not the Hilton, but for the price, it’s fine. The only thing I was truly disappointed in was that the sliding glass doors were bolted shut. Couldn’t even go out on the balcony. I was told someone fell there a few yrs ago. The problem with not being able to open the door was that there wasn’t even an exhaust fan.

Not impressed

Although the location of this hotel is ideal on I-Drive, it despreatly needs refurbished. Our first room was smelly of stale cigarette smoke, they promptly changed us to another room which didn’t smell but the bathroom was so small it only has a toilet and bath with shower in it,the sink is in the bedroom with the coffee maker on it. If you are planning to be out all day at the parks etc and only need a place to sleep then this place is ideal.When asking for a taxi at reception make sure you are asking and getting a yellow taxi and not one of there private hires as they don’t have a meter and will charge you $5 more than what a normal taxi costs.

Ponderosa is good value for money if you don’t mind a buffet breakfast, if you like your breakfast cooked to order the IHOP is excellent. Trey Yuen is a chinese restaurant next to Walgreens which excellent!

room was ok, a little small but all in all was fine

Hotel was nice and it was fine, we only stayed overnight..the rooms were a bit small but over all it was good, i would stay there again.

Definitely Recommended

I wasnt sure what to expect from this hotel given the mixed bag of reviews. This hotel was really good value for money in close proximity of all the major attractions and amenities of International drive. I wasnt pushed on the restaurant but the waitress was so so nice. Theres a bar and japanese restaurant. The bar is handy if you fancy a drink in the evening after a long day. room was cleaned everyday, free locker in room. Only gripe was the internet in the lobby but cant blame the hotel as its a kiosk. Have paid more for worse hotels and I would definitely return to Rodeway. Staff are lovely and helpful. No complaints!

Eating out can be expensive - take a trip down the supermarket and utilise your fridge and microwave!! PS E-Z rent down at visitors circle is great value car rentals!!

Excellent location, good rooms with fridge and microwave, breakfast, restaurant, bar, convenience store, game room, pool, has everything for a lower price.

Wish I Was Still There!!!

The hotel is excellent everything is convenient the front desk and staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool was great and clean its goes to 9ft deep. The room was quiet and comfy also nice view from balcony (6th floor) only thing is balcony was locked didn’t open :( smh but it was a fun and great experience wish i was still there...

Traveller's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Everything is so close by you can either walk or take the I Ride Trolley stop #10 right in front of hotel and buffets are everywhere and the food is amazing...

It was OK

This hotel was good for the price you pay. If you just need it for a place to sleep it’s good. It’s on international drive which is really busy but really close to everything which is convenient. Traffic is crazy at night but it’s to be expected. The room was ok. It smelled like smoke eventhough it was suppose to be a non smoking room. Go figure but it’s good for a place to sleep.

I would not go back to this Hotel

This hotel was very close to all the attractions. SeaWorkd, Universal studios, the Beach, food, shopping, but thats about it. I guess you get what you pay for. This was a last minute trip, and the only reasonable priced hotel available. The first room they gave us was smelly, and the bathrooms were dirty.. We requested another room, this room was not smelly, but the bathroom was still dirty. I didnt want to use the bathroom at all. I wore slippers all the time, even to take a shower. The shower had mold growing on the walls and curtains, We needed an iron, and they gave us a broken iron that barly got hot. There were no housekeeping so we had to use the same towels for 5 days and we had to make our won beds. The staff were very friendly, but I would not stay there again.

The attractions in the area were lots of fun. I would definitely recomment Ripleys believe it or not. SeaWorld, Aquatica and Universal studios were all fun too.

Needs Thorough Cleaning

First of all, the bathroom shower was very poor. The shower head is about 4 feet up the wall, making it unusable for people over 4 feet 6 inches tall. The water pressure was not that great, and the water had a faint sulfur odor, and the towels were scratchy and not absorbent. The bed was somewhat uncomfortable, the mattress leaned towards the center of the bed, and the pillows were old and worn in. There was a cigarette burn in one of the sheets. The carpet was very dirty. My white socks became black with dirt on the bottom just from walking around the room. Housekeeping was ok, the location is good and close to the attractions and parks in Orlando. Even though it was very affordable and a two star hotel, it should have been cleaner.

Rodeway on I-Drive

The hotel is excellently priced to be right in the middle of International Drive. The personnel at the desk were excellent. Rodeway has a great pool thats spacious and clean

Rodeway Inn Orlando Internatiol Drive

The rating of the Rodeway was a 3 or 4 star on the internet,but when I arrived the conditions were not as described..The furniture and the amenities were very old and worn,the microwave was about 20 years old and the bed was soft and uncomfortable.The carpeting was filthy and didnt appear to have been cleaned for quite sometime..Very dissapointing..

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT

First, if you plan on using their shuttle service, verify their times of operation before booking based on that. To find a ride when they operate is limited. the hotel was generally clean but only 1 of 3 elevators workded and that was inconvenient trying to get off the 5th floor in the mornining. Our TV remote didn’t function correctly and they had it replaced promptly.

A little bit dirty

The bathroom was a little bit dirty, has hair around the toilet and the shower needed a little bit of bleach. The front desk person was more interested to text than talking to me. Overall the hotel is not that bad for the price.
