Lived up to our expectations
Location good, but if you want the bus or train be prepared to walk. The renovations have been tastefully done, keeping the best of the original features. Staff welcoming, especially in the Bar! Good breakfast with helpful staff in a separate breakfast room. We didnt try the restaurant as the set menu was a bit pricy at 35 euros and it did not change throughout our stay. Would go back again.

Friendly service from a large hotel
Impressive looking building from the outside which is matched by the service given by the staff within. Rooms are large & spacious and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is varied & restaurant staff are very eager to please. Recommended.
Traveller's tip on dining
Opposite the hotel, on the beach ’La Salute’ is a restaurant called ’Bagno Florida’. We tried it for luch and had the most stunning seafood pasta. We were so impressed we went back for dinner. It was wonderful. Don’t expect a menu, just listen to the recommendations & go with it. 4 courses for 2 inc. wine, coffee & liquors..Euro70, this was one of the best meals (and at a very reasonable price) we had in our 2 week tour of Tuscany.

Not bad hotel - just a little dated
The Hotel is nice, clean, the staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical continental and was ok (don’t expect good quality English breakfasts as your won’t get it here anywhere). Only complaint about the hotel would be the bathroom - the shower was very small and cramped (maybe it was just the room we were in!) - it was very easy to catch the hot or cold with your elbows wilst in there!. Beach chair and umbrella was not too bad (15 Euros per day paid for though the hotel)staff there very friendly and the bar/facilies there were very good. Overall not a bad hotel - maybe a little dated in parts (note hotel bar was quite expensive - although most hotel bars are ;-)).
