Good tourist hotel.
Good hotel, very new and clean. Excellent front desk staff. Breakfast room a bit cramped at busy times. Close to two subway stations which unfortunately aren’t highlighted on the web link. Definetely would stay again! I booked a two bed room because we had our 6 year old with us - didn’t need to as a twin would have suited and would have given us a better view from the back of the hotel over Manhattan.
Get your subway 7 day pass when you arrive approx $28 pp - excellent value - when you get the hang of uptown and downtown trains. Also all ticket booths have maps for free.

Great deal and good location
I have stayed in this hotel for 6 nights in Oct. It is really a good deal, very close to subway, brand new, big room. You only need 10 mins to Manhattan, and you have 3 lines to take - N, W and 7. I will choose this hotel next time if I go to NY again.

Visiting New York again - this hotel only!
We stayed for one week in this Sountry Inn & Suites. We enjoyed the view from our room - the Skyline of New York and the Queensborogh-Bridge - fantastic. The room was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful, the breakfirst-room sometimes a bit crowded. The location was excellent - the subway station Queensborogh Plaza is 5 min to walk, 3 lines took us in less than 10 min. to Manhatten/Central Park, Times Square or Central Station. Only the neighbourhood did not rearlly inspire to stay outside.
