Would stay again!
I went for a "Girls Weekend" and wanted to stay near 6th street, but didnt want to pay the high prices. This place was 3 miles from 6th street, and even closer to the Capital. We were able to spend the day at the Capital with out a far drive, and took a Taxi to 6th street at night at a fee of about $12.00 one way. Well worth it! Would stay there again. Shoppping centers (I.E: Target) across the Freeway...and resturant right next door...was not impressed with restuarnt at all. Over all wonderful people.......
Always print a couple of copies of your intenary and leave with family members. Buy water, and drinks....also foods for snacking, makes the stay a little cheaper for time spent in hotel room. Always ask for 2 keys to room even if you dont think you will need it!

"BAD"
Rooms were dirty & the fictures were extremley worn. A/C didn’t work, it cycled on & off all night. On a positive note the desk clerk was very nice, polite & professional. Non-Smoking rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. You would think that due to the proximity to the State Capitol that Motel 8 would keep the property in better shape.
Texas Land & Cattle Co. is a great place to dine.
