Excellent and Practical Locacation

I really enjoyed my visit to Houston because of the convenient location at The Galleria, you can shop and go back to your room to get a little rest and continue shopping later. I attended to the Reliant A rena and it was near from the hotel. For me this hotel has excellent and practical location and also comfort.

Musician’s Dream

My wife and I stayed at this fabulous hotel for a high school reunion. As we were passing through the area where you pull up and get out to check in, I couldn’t help noticing a baby grand to the right of the check-in area. We found another baby grand outside the elevators on the third floor. And, yet another baby grand across the hall from where the event we attended was being held. I got to play on all three without anyone at the hotel begging me stop. It was an extremely enjoyable experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who has an ear for music. The hotel staff was very pleasant and the entire stay was excellent in every way.

Bad condition but good location

If you are picky with the room condition, old painting, scratch walls and old carpets, consider another option. If you like to stay at the Galleria and save, this is very recommended. We had stay at the Oaks many time and they just don’t mind remodeling it.

Staying at The Galleria is so relaxing. Outlet are also close. Westheimer st is surrounded with great restaurants also.

The Westin Oaks is clean, with a wonderful bed and everything was fine. They let ushave a late check out because our flight was in the afternoon without an extra charge!!

Cant wait to go back

Westin Oaks Hotel is located in the Galleria Mall, the perfect place to go shopping in Houston. The rooms are so comfortable and everyone is so helpful and nice. I have been there even before i was bron! I love the place you should defenitly try it.

A tired hotel with friendly staff

I’ve stayed in a number of Westin Hotels. I love the "Heavenly Beds" after a long days’ work. The problem with the Westin Oaks is that it needs a makeover. The elevators take forever and some are out of order. The rooms are tired and the general decor of the hotel suggests that it needs upgrading. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, nonetheless. I will try the Westin Galleria next time around. It is right next door - not sure why you’d need the same chain that close together, almost cannibalizes their business, but this is often seen in other chains, like the Marriotts in Philadelphia.

Terrible.

We travel extensively and this was by far the worst hotel for its class. First, we were given a room while still occupied! The 2nd room reeked of smoke, and finally the 3rd room was 2 double beds instead of 2 queens. The next day, when we returned to our room around 6PM it had not been cleaned AND our room keys did not work. Every time the front desk blamed it on their computers... and even told me "the key didn’t work b/c it was next to my mobile phone."

This hotel is old and needs a face lift..... Rooms are old and dreary....... Feels like the 70’s

Westin Oaks Houston

I go to Houston to a lot of business trips and I always stay at this hotel because of the location. The service is very good, kind staff and on arrival, rapid response to my request. The room was OK as usual, the only thing is that to have more privacy and less noise, as I always requested, this time I have a room with a queen bed and it is smaller than the other ones. I personally preferred the rooms with king or double beds, but besides that everything was fine.

If you are on a business trip and sometimes have a little time to shop this is your place. Because of the location is is attached to the Galleria Mall with plenty of options for shopping. Also here you’ll find good places to dinner or lunch such as the restaurant inside Saks, the Ruggles Grille 5115, very good experience and excelent service.
